What's an easy way to bake a whole chicken?

First, don't forget to take the innards out - the bag inside with the liver, neck and gizzards. Rub with oil or butter or Pam and rub inside and out with salt and herbs (garlic and onion, curry and cumin for an Indian type chicken, Jerk for a Caribbean taste). Put in deep pan with a little water, veggies on bottom if you like, and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour - for a 3 - 5 lb chicken; more time for bigger chicken. Times should be on the package somewhere.
