I am one of those teenagers who don't know much, all I can say it's like it was written by a real writer. Genuinely interested.

Would it be inappropriate to write about my romance novel for my college essay?

I agree with S.K. Plus, most people reading this are automatically going to think of the 'Twilight' series simply because of the similarity in the character names and because it appears to be about forbidden love. That instant connection, fair or not, will connect a college essay to a young adult novel, and the writer of that college essay to a much younger girl. There are so many basic writing problems here that I would suggest having someone edit this for you long before you make any attempts to use it for anything other than your own enjoyment. S.K. listed some, but as a specific example, most people can't sob and speak at the same time. You would write that part with a simple 'she said' dialog tag, and then show her sobbing through body language and interaction with the character. This isn't to say don't write, just that you don't appear to be ready to submit to a college for something as important as an essay. Keep writing, having fun with your story, and learning the craft, but find something else for your college essay. Good luck.

I am a 6'3, slim, German-American 42 year old man, born and raised in New Jersey, YES I AM an ex-con, I do NOT look like a "dangerous" man, look at my photo(circa 1987), I was always more the wisdom, nerdy looking guy.. I did however bulk up nicely during my last bid in 94 - 99 when I committed Armed Robbery, you know I am one of those guys whos cool, I like Heavy Metal, my hair is down past my shoulders, I have a few tattoos, I like to drink here and there. But for petes sakes, since getting out of jail, I have been a Computer Programmer!!! So I was locked up recently for 5 months on charges of DWI in Essex County Prison(Home of Newark and bunch of other crap areas), I am not from Essex, I am from all the ways down in Princeton NJ. Anyway, the jail was about 55% African American, 25% Hispanic and the rest being mostly Whites with a few Chinese.. So whenever I went out of my cell, I was called "skinhead", "peckerwood", "white boy" or something along those lines. I let them know quickly, that ive been in the can a few times and I can handle myself, I got up and said "OH EY BRO STFU AND GET OUT OF MY FACE WE COULD HANDLE IT IN THE YARD TOUGH GUY" they didn't bother me much. But what bothered me was that I had to be locked up beside the lowest, nastiest, dirtiest specimen from the wild back in the jungles. Boy if I had some more Skinheads in that prison we wouldve made it a real rough time for those boys.

My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex on June 22. He pulled out and came on my stomach, but we were afraid there could have been some inside me. To be safe, I took the morning after pill a few hours later, and 12 hours after taking the first I took the second pill. I did exactly as instructed. I did not experience any side effects after taking the pill, so I was afraid it did not work. I hired a tree service to cut down trees and trim hedges on my property that also served as a fence or natural barrier between my yard and the neighbor's yard. Two days later that same neighbor hired the same company (with the same crew) to cut down a tree on her property and also instructed them to completely cut down the hedges between us. you may need to call an animal control service to remove the bodies. it sounds like it has become a safety and health issue, not just for your horse but for you. i wouldn't be worried about your horse if she is grumpy. the sheep have become a serious problem so focus on getting them removed. you don't know if the sheep have been well cared for health wise or what killed them. this is a serious problem that needs to be dealt with immediately.

People will always follow society, and the status cuo of what people say is right. I am a 6'3, slim, German-American 42 year old man, born and raised in New Jersey, YES I AM an ex-con, I do NOT look like a "dangerous" man, look at my photo(circa 1987), I was always more the wisdom, nerdy looking guy.. But for petes sakes, since getting out of jail, I have been a Computer Programmer!!! So I was locked up recently for 5 months on charges of DWI in Essex County Prison(Home of Newark and bunch of other crap areas), I am not from Essex, I am from all the ways down in Princeton NJ. Anyway, the jail was about 55% African American, 25% Hispanic and the rest being mostly Whites with a few Chinese.. So whenever I went out of my cell, I was called "skinhead", "peckerwood", "white boy" or something along those lines. I let them know quickly, that ive been in the can a few times and I can handle myself, I got up and said "OH EY BRO STFU AND GET OUT OF MY FACE WE COULD HANDLE IT IN THE YARD TOUGH GUY" they didn't bother me much. But what bothered me was that I had to be locked up beside the lowest, nastiest, dirtiest specimen from the wild back in the jungles. Boy if I had some more Skinheads in that prison we wouldve made it a real rough time for those boys.

Admittedly I'm not very good with symbolism =P but I can recommend a great genre of paintings that are all about symbolism and should give you some inspiration hopefully! That is pretty messed up. Sometimes animals just have bad reactions to anesthesia, it's nobody's fault because no one can predict it. I'm not sure why the lady in charge blames you guys because things happen and she should know that. She should be willing to let you guys adopt the white kitty, usually fosters have first dibs on adopting their foster pet. She is cheating a kitten out of a home because she's upset about what happened with the black kitten and that's not right and is unprofessional. Tell her that what happened was not your fault and you want to know why you can't adopt the white kitten. If she doesn't give you a good answer, I would report her to someone above her at the shelter and if that doesn't work, then I would suggest fostering cats at another shelter, where people are more professional at their job.

What happens to really old people in jail?

People get sentenced to life in prison all the time or when they are 30 they get 65 years. But when I watch those prison shows like Lock Up on MSNBC, I never see any old people. Sure you see people in their 50s or 60s, but what about people in their 80s or 90s? I know they get medical care in prison, and I know they are fed, so I doubt they all die by the time they are 60-something. Where do all the old prisoners go or do they stay in prison?

No one wants me alive, and I'm so sick of pain and stress and lonliness and emptiness that I myself don't want me alive. Asume your drivers are correct etc, and the router is connected : internet>modem>router>PC's either ethernet or wireless or a comination. you have configured the Wi-Fi menu in the router to a name and encrypt and password protect it, to avoid unwanted users. Then you need to open your network center, search for you named signal >connect>enter the password> set it to connect automatically, voila? To access you router you need the IP address, can be 192.168.0.1, or 192.168.1.1 or check with you ISP? laptop can connect 3 ways to the internet, ethernet, wireless from a home internet or a USB dongle,on a packet or pre paid. D-Link router that I have came with a wizard connect CD and a manual. I assume thatis the wireless driver for the Acer laptop downloaded from Acer website? So is the problem at the browser, which may be a firewall issue? You can always do a factory resetwith a paperclip in hole next to power plug and reconfigure, this resets all passwords as well. once configured just give it a powr refresh, unplug from power for 30 seconds then plug bac in and let it cycle up. As Computers need a restart to complete update so does hardware, for changes to take effect, and I power refresh my router and modem once a week,as they can get into a bind? Keeps them fresh and fast.

I was seeing one psychologist for a short while for therapy. She told me that she specialized in medication even though she was not authorized to prescribe. I was on one medication that my actual psychiatrist had put me on. She instructed me to stop taking it, go to a physician she knew and get a prescription for a different specific medication and told me what dose to start at. This made me rather suspicious. Is this legal? She didn't write the prescription, but gave instructions on what to take, what not to take, and how much to take. I didn't think psychologists had any kind of authority to tell you to stop taking something. She seemed a bit crazy herself actually.

A friend of mine has been to court on multiple occasions for a case since about last year. He has already been to jail for it, but eventually got released on bail. Recently he went to court and there was a witness who testified that he threatened them involving the case. After court he was taken into custody. Prednisone withdrawal time span?

I had my wisdom teeth out last Thursday, and took prednisone for five days as I was instructed to do. Yesterday was the first full day that I didn't take any, and as the day went on I started to feel ill- lightheaded, nauseous, headache. I still feel slightly the same today. How long should it normally take for these effects to taper off given that I've been taking the prednisone for such a short time?

I feel like my cat's death is my fault. I'm so sad, how can I possibly forgive myself?

About two years ago I gained the trust of a stray cat that lived outside of my boyfriends house. We bonded to the point where this cat went from sprinting away from the site of any humans to purring and hopping onto my lap to cuddle. She was already really old when I befriended her and too skinny to be in full health. I tried to gain her wieght back by regularly feeding her wet food but nothing worked. She seemed happy though, so I just tried to make the rest of her life one full of love, since she had been alone for the entirety of it until I befriended her. Well, my boyfriend went on a trip for 6 days and I was so busy i didn't go over to spend time with the kitty. I really should have. My boyfriends parents left food for her to eat in the house and everything so she wasn't starving but it was dry food, which she wouldnt eat as much. It was really stormy while my boyfriend was gone, like 4 inches of rain an hour, and i thought the cat would be fine because she lived her entire life as a stray and she could go into the house if she wanted to (she slept outside). But then i got a call from my boyfriends mom, who knew I loved the cat, and told me the kitty was really sick and that we had to put her down. When i got there, she couldnt even walk, there was no strength left in her. I put her in my lap and she didnt even have enough strength left to purr, she could only slightly nuzzle my hand when i put it up to her face. It was so unbelievably heart breaking. My boyfriends mom is positive it was cancer. I know she wasnt at optimal health and didnt have much longer to live, even before she got super sick she was skin & bones, lost her balance alot while walking and sat down slowly like her legs might give out, but I feel so much that her getting so sick so quickly is because i wasnt there for her during the stormy weather over the 6 days.There was thunder and lightning too and she didnt go inside so she was probably somewhere outside scared and cold. The aread she normally sleeps at outside was all messed up so there was no shelther for her so she had no where to go over those 6 days. No one else in the family takes care of her and it's all my fault she got sick because i wasnt there for her! I'm so sad and I miss her so much and regret more than anything not being there for my kitty. I feel like she got sick because of me. I know she was old and not at optimal health, but I should have gone over to my boyfriends house while he was gone to take care of her. Maybe if i was there to coax her inside and feed her wet food she would still be here. I'm so sad and there's nothing I can do. In the end, I wasn't there for the cat that trusted me and only me, her only friend throughout her entire life. I know it's just a cat but it was an extremely special and rare bond i gained with her, it's not every day a cat goes from living 14 years as a stray to running up to you and meowing to be pet. I'm so sad. We had to take her to the humane society to be put down because a private facility would cost over $200 dollars. So we took her in, i was carrying her curled up in a little box. But then the humane society told us we couldn't even go in and hold her while they put her down. This broke my heart even more. Being a stray cat, she's still wary of strangers and I wanted to be there holding her while they did it. It's not like she'd fight them or try to get away, she was so sick already all she was doing was lying there, but I wish I could have at least been there for her in the end. I'm so heartbroken about the whole situation, I can barely see what I'm typing through my tears. I know my friendship gave her a better life, but I feel like I failed her in the end.

Could my dog be allergic to grass or have hay fever? His eyes keep swelling up!?

Ok, so this morning I let my great dane outside to go to the bathroom when we got out of bed. He was outside for approximately 3-4 minutes before he came back inside. I noticed that he was kind of acting goofy and rubbing his head into his dog bed and pawing at his face. Shortly there after I realized that his eyes were swollen up and had bumps or hives on his head. There was no swelling or hives anywhere else on his body. This was around 6:30-7:00 am this morning and most of the swelling had gone down by the time I got him to the vet at 9 am. The doctor assumed that it was a bug bite or a sting, as I am sure any vet would have due to his symptoms, and just gave him a benadryl shot and no steroids. We came home and he slept for several hours. I let him outside to go to the bathroom after he woke up. He was outside for only a couple of minutes before he came in. About 5 minutes later I noticed his eyes were swelling up again. I gave him 100mg of benadryl as the vet had instructed me to do. This was around 4pm and the swelling went down. I went outside with my dog tonight, (7:45ish), to play with him and keep an eye on him to see if his eyes would swell up again, and they did. I was watching him pretty close and I didn't see anything sting or bite him. I am so confused to what could be doing this to him because all of the "seasonal" allergy related/ hay fever stuff I have looked up seems to go along with more of itchy skin and feet - Not swelling of the eyes and hives ONLY on the face. I will keep an eye on him for the next day or so, and if it continues to happen I will take him back to the vet. I am trying to get advice from other dog owners who may have had similar issues with their dog before I take him back to the vet. I spent $100 for today's visit and I'm collecting unemployment at the moment, so money is tighter than I would like it to be. If anyone has advice or might know what this is, PLEASE help!! And please don't just tell me to take him to the vet, I have common sense.....THANK YOU!!

Why is she doing this to me?

my girl is in jail for three weeks. i visit her once a week. i sent her a letter the first week and didn't hear anything back. i went to see her again and she told me that she needed money to buy the supplies to write a letter in jail so i sent her some money to write me with. she promised she would so i was cool with that. i was suppose to get her letter three days ago but i still don't have it. do you think she just doesn't want to write to me or do you think i'm worrying over nothing?

Then my girl my ex became all hysterical and yelling at me to stop and gonna kill him(i was not ). really i was not paying attention her i knew security would be there any minute so i was just gonna let him go when they got there. But then out of nowhere she starts crying jumping on my back and just acting over the top, this dude just called you a hoe a slut Ni??a lover and so much more.In the process of this she accidental scratch me on my neck while trying to me to stop. So security comes they break it up he does not press charges neither do i .Then she proceeded to tell me who this dude is to her (ex-boyfriend of 3 years) I don't know that got in to me but i lost it and told her im Thu with this relationship walked to my car and drove off and left her there . So from the next day sunday until this very moment she has been blowing my phone up with calls and text telling me im the love of her life asking what she did wrong?and that she did not want me to kill him cuz then i would be jail and not with her.Here is my logic If im whooping your ex- bf *** because he is popping off the mouth with some real foul sh!t U as my girl should either dont jump in at all( which i prefer) or if you do get a kick in or Punch I only like long term relationships with women who are Ryder's she obviously was not so i had to end it..Oh and she scratch too. was i right or wrong to end it?

I get really sad and cry randomly?

About 8 months ago I witnessed my 2 year old niece drown and I was instructed to give her mouth to mouth CPR, even though she was already dead. About a month ago I was raped by a stranger. In between those two incidents, I've been getting very sad randomly, my emotions are changed very easily (i.e. Today my boyfriend said I wasn't very good at a game in the arcade and I wouldn't talk to him for about an hour and I ended up crying really hard.). I also get really down about myself when this happens and can't stop thinking about how horrible ad stupid and ugly and fat I am. I'm 14 and I'm currently in counseling... It's not really helping. What do you think this is and how can I stop it? Thanks.

The headache is due to the pressure changing in the air. Maybe borrow some advil or something from a friend. If not, try rubbing your temples, or in between your thumb and pointer finger (there is a nerve there). Massage is for awhile. Hope that helps.

Swimming after tattoo?

Okay, so i got a tattoo 3 days ago, (on Monday) and i was curious as to how long i have to wait till i can get in a swimming pool. this is my first tattoo, so i take care of it, and clean it religiously. I take like 3 or 4 showers a day and rub the soap on it that my tattoo artist gave me, and i rub lotion on it as well, as instructed by my artist.. How long untill i can swim? i have heard different answers, so i'm not really sure.
