Can I get unemployment if i was fired due to an arrest?

I was let go from my job because i was arrested one night after i had gotten off of work for something stupid i really don't wanna explain what happened , but i was in jail for about a week and wasn't able to show up for work. But i was wanting to know if I can get unemployment for this. I was told by someone that as long as i wasn't arrested for stealing from or doing something against the company ( which i didn't ) that i worked for that i should get approved because technically i was fired because of attendance not for being arrested. But i just want to get a couple second opinions because i don't want to get my hopes up and then not get it. Thanks in advance.
